Tanzil has over 9 years of experience and provides bespoke nutritional advice to help clients manage symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), as well as other troublesome gut symptoms such as constipation, bloating, diarrhoea, faecal urgency, excessive flatulence, abdominal pain, and reflux. She is experienced in the use of the low FODMAP diet for the treatment of IBS and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).
Tanzil also specialises in assisting those who have underlying conditions which may affect their gut function including Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis), Coeliac disease, Diverticular disease, cancers (including pancreatic, colorectal and gynaecological) and following surgery. She also sees women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
Combining a strong clinical background of managing complex nutritional issues with a passion for improving her patient’s health, well-being, gut function, and quality of life, Tanzil considers diet and non-dietary strategies to develop a personalised and holistic treatment plan.
Alongside her work at the Gut Health Clinic, Tanzil continues to practice as a specialist Dietitian in one of Europe’s leading teaching hospitals where she supports patients with incredibly complex gut conditions who require dietary manipulation and provision of intravenous nutrition and hydration.
